○ Most businesses use between 15,000 and 25,000 kWh of energy a year, the average usage and cost of energy is different depending on the size of the business and how it uses energy.

There are two main considerations when considering an energy supply contract:

○ Unit cost - Measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh), this is the amount you pay for each unit of gas or electricity you use.

○ Standing charge - This is a flat daily rate to cover the cost of getting the energy to your property and is charged regardless of whether or not you use any gas or electricity.

○ Suppliers class commercial consumers into two different categories dependent upon their energy requirements:

➼ I&C/ Corporate

Larger energy consumers are billed by Half Hourly (Maximum Demand) meters. We cater for all categories.
